What to Expect on Your First Visit

If you've never been to a chiropractor before, the first visit can feel like a leap. We get it. Here's exactly what to expect so you can walk in knowing what's ahead.

1. A simple welcome

When you arrive, you'll be greeted personally — usually by Dr. Bittner. Our office isn't a big corporate setup. It's a small, calm, welcoming space where you'll be treated like a neighbor.

2. A conversation about your body

Before anything else, we talk. What hurts? When did it start? Any previous injuries, surgeries, or accidents? The more we know, the better we can help.

3. A physical evaluation

Dr. Bittner will do a thorough physical exam — checking your range of motion, posture, and spinal alignment. This is where we figure out exactly what's going on and what will help.

4. Warm-up and prep

We typically use hot packs and pulse therapy to prep the muscles around the area we're going to adjust. Patients often tell us this is their favorite part.

5. The adjustment

Adjustments are precise, targeted, and usually quick. Most patients feel relief almost immediately. Nothing is done without explanation — you'll always know what's about to happen and why.

6. A plan for what's next

We'll talk about what we found, how we can help, and what a reasonable care plan might look like. There's no pressure to commit to endless appointments — we build plans around your goals, not ours.

Many patients tell us they came in skeptical and left already feeling better. Your first visit is designed to give you real relief — not just a sales pitch.

What to bring
