Choosing the Right Massage Therapy for Your Body

Walking into a massage appointment and being asked "what kind of massage do you want?" can feel overwhelming. Let's demystify the main modalities we offer and when each one shines.

Swedish Massage

The classic. Long, flowing strokes, moderate pressure, and a focus on full-body relaxation. Swedish is the right choice when you need to decompress, calm your nervous system, and feel a general sense of wellness. Great for first-timers.

Deep Tissue Massage

Slower strokes, deeper pressure — specifically targeting chronic tension and tight knots. Deep tissue is the right call for athletes, office workers with chronic neck and shoulder tightness, and anyone dealing with long-standing muscular issues.

Hot Stone Therapy

Warm, smooth stones are placed on (and used to massage) key areas of the body. The heat helps muscles relax more deeply than they would with manual pressure alone. A great choice during Bozeman winters or when your body just needs to melt.

Myofascial Release

Fascia is the connective tissue that wraps around every muscle in your body. When it gets tight or restricted, it can cause pain that feels disconnected from any obvious injury. Myofascial release uses sustained pressure to unwind those restrictions — often producing relief that other techniques can't touch.

"The massage is tailored to the needs of the client." — we don't pick a modality for you. We listen to your body first, then choose the right approach.

How to choose

When in doubt, ask us. Tell us what's going on — where it hurts, what you've tried, what worked and what didn't. We'll recommend the right modality (often a blend) for your session.
